Job Description:

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring that all purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with various departments within the company to identify their procurement needs and develop strategies to source the best suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's needs.
  2. Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services.
  3. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchases.
  4. Monitor and analyze market trends and prices to make informed purchasing decisions.
  5. Work closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  6. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
  9. Manage the procurement budget and report on expenses to senior management.
  10. Continuously identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a similar role.
  3. Proven track record of negotiating contracts and achieving cost savings.
  4. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
  7. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  8. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Familiarity with UAE procurement laws and regulations; In-Country Valuation (ICV) is a plus.
