Procurement Officer - CUO

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage sourcing activities, maintain vendor relationships, and execute procurement processes in alignment with organizational goals. This role involves analyzing market trends, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all purchasing activities meet quality standards and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Sourcing: Identify and qualify new suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality and cost-effective procurement.
• Purchasing Operations: Execute purchasing orders based on approved requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure the best deals.
• Inventory Monitoring: Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels and anticipate purchasing needs.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and other procurement activities.
• Market Research: Continuously monitor market trends, product availability, and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Risk Assessment: Evaluate suppliers' performance and reliability, and mitigate procurement risks by working with alternative suppliers when necessary.
• Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable supply chain.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a procurement or sourcing role.
• Skills:
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Knowledge of procurement websites
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for reporting and data analysis
• Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management principles
• Preferred: Experience with international purchasing or knowledge of import/export regulations is an asset.
