Role Overview :
The Procurement Officer will manage and oversee the purchasing process for all civil construction-related materials and services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement within the civil construction field, strong negotiation skills, and a keen understanding of market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to civil construction projects.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality materials and services at competitive prices.
Maintain an extensive database of suppliers and manage relationships to ensure consistent supply and compliance.
Collaborate with project managers to determine project material needs and specifications.
Conduct market research on industry trends and pricing to inform procurement decisions.
Monitor and analyze supplier performance, resolving any issues that may arise.
Prepare and maintain procurement reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices in procurement processes.
Key Requirements :
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in the civil construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction materials and their applications.
