Role Overview :

The Procurement Officer will manage and oversee the purchasing process for all civil construction-related materials and services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement within the civil construction field, strong negotiation skills, and a keen understanding of market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to civil construction projects.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality materials and services at competitive prices.
• Maintain an extensive database of suppliers and manage relationships to ensure consistent supply and compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers to determine project material needs and specifications.
• Conduct market research on industry trends and pricing to inform procurement decisions.
• Monitor and analyze supplier performance, resolving any issues that may arise.
• Prepare and maintain procurement reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices in procurement processes.

Key Requirements :

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in the civil construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction materials and their applications.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
