The Procurement Manager, GCC is responsible for leading the GCC in country Procurement process and strategy as set by Global Procurement. Manage all Procurement activities including and not limited to direct and indirect material, contracts, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services necessary for the GCC Supply Chain operations.
Must-Haves:
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement in Gypsum, manufacturing, building materials, or construction.
- Procurement Expertise: Proven experience managing direct and indirect materials, contracts, and services.
- Supplier Management: Ability to evaluate, develop, and maintain a local supplier network for raw materials and service providers.
- Cost Optimization: Demonstrated ability to reduce procurement costs and improve cost-effectiveness.
- Leadership: Experience leading procurement teams, setting clear objectives, and providing mentorship for performance growth.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supplier Network Development: Identify and maintain a network of local suppliers for raw materials, merchandise, and services across the GCC.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure better prices, delivery schedules, and terms with suppliers and service providers.
- Supplier Management: Oversee relationships with top suppliers based on spend and complexity, ensuring quality, performance, and sustainability.
- Cost Control: Monitor and reduce procurement costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and cost avoidance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams in Planning, Logistics, Production, and Product Management to align procurement with production schedules and demand forecasts.
- Performance Reporting: Track and report on procurement KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentorship: Lead and mentor a procurement team, providing support and tools to achieve team objectives and performance goals.
What we’d love for you to have:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement within the Gypsum, manufacturing, building materials, or construction industries.
- Strong ability to manage suppliers, negotiate contracts, and drive cost-effective procurement strategies.
- Leadership experience in guiding procurement teams and achieving team goals.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to drive improvements in procurement processes.
- A proactive, results-driven approach with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
