Job description

Job Title: Procurement Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Procurement Manager in creating, refining, and implementing procurement strategy & policies.
  • Forecasting & planning of orders on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Create, report, and implement innovative KPIs.
  • Analyze and evaluate the cost and suitability of supplies against specifications.
  • Process, monitor, and evaluate supplier contracts.

Operations/Execution:

  • Material requirement planning and procurement of raw materials as per the forecast.
  • Overall planning for smooth functioning of operations by efficient management & coordination of procurement, demand forecasting & production planning functions and ensure adherence to key supply chain planning processes.
  • Negotiate with suppliers, shippers, etc.
  • Build and develop relationships with key suppliers.
  • Coordinate with other departments to determine purchase requirements.
  • Inform new developments & sources of supply to other departments.
  • Review potential costs, prices, and market research. Evaluate quotes/price comparisons and conduct detailed negotiation with vendors.
  • Supervise bidding procedures and study offers for local and international purchases.
  • Negotiate trading calls & cost comparison analysis.

Supervision:

  • Supervise the implementation of purchase procedures.
  • Monitor the production plan in WPP.
  • In charge of procurement planning files for the team.
  • Take responsibilities and act as manager in the absence of the purchase manager.

Reports:

  • Prepare supplier analysis report.
  • Prepare monthly reports (purchase ratio, # of days stock & landed cost report, WAC report, stock in future) for management review.
  • Provide budgetary information to management.

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in Supply Chain)

Skills:

  • Good communication
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Decision-making skills

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing spices, nuts, pulses, dates, etc.
  • Experience in forecasting & planning of orders on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Experience in analyzing and evaluating the cost and suitability of supplies against specifications.
  • Experience in processing, monitoring, and evaluating supplier contracts.
