Procurement Manager

Our client, a Humanitarian Aid organization is looking to hire an experienced Procurement Manager to manage the company’s supply of products and services. This role will be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Responsibilities:

1. Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
2. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
3. Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
4. Identify and order necessary goods and services from local and international markets
5. Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
6. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
7. Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
8. Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
9. Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
10. Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
11. Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

Requirements and skills:

1. BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
2. Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager or Senior Procurement Officer
3. Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
4. Talent in negotiations and networking
5. Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
6. Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
7. Experience in collecting and analyzing data
8. Strong leadership capabilities
