Procurement Executive
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement strategies for procurement that are cost effective, agile to suit market changes and with a quick turnaround time
- Ensuring to develop, build and foster a network of vendors/ suppliers
- Negotiating with vendors and suppliers to get favourable terms, timely supplies
- Execution and follow up of the PO placed to the point of shipment.
- Manage technological systems that track the shipment, inventory and supply of materials
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports
- Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
- Partner with Commercial and Operations to contribute to Bids and Tenders
- Contract management and conducting assessment of suppliers
- Sourcing from Africa locally, China and India. Primarily for yellow goods plant and machinery, project purchases and process plants
- Keep abreast of changing industry trends
Education & Experience
- Graduate / BBA / MBA in Material Management or Supply Chain
- 8 - 12 years of experience in a similar role in Industrial and Manufacturing Goods
- Has worked in procurement and supply chain management
- Handled Multi geography
