The role is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and selecting consultants, negotiating contracts, and managing the ongoing relationship with consultants to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies and processes for engaging consultants, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Identify and assess consultants based on project requirements, evaluate their qualifications, experience, and capabilities to ensure the selection of suitable candidates.
Conduct supplier evaluations and maintain a database of pre-qualified consultants, updating records regularly to facilitate efficient procurement processes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers and technical teams, to define consultant requirements and develop procurement plans.
Prepare and issue requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for quotations (RFQs) to shortlisted consultants, ensuring clear and comprehensive documentation.
Evaluate proposals received from consultants, including reviewing technical and commercial aspects, conducting price analysis, and identifying the most suitable consultants based on predetermined criteria.
Lead negotiations with consultants on contractual terms, conditions, and pricing to secure favorable agreements while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
Prepare and execute contracts with selected consultants, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to applicable legal and regulatory standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement, specifically in handling consultants, preferably in a similar industry or organization with knowledge and contacts of multiple consulting firms.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier evaluation techniques.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for sourcing, evaluation, and contract management.
