Role Overview
The Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management activities required for Luxe Developers projects. This role ensures that all materials, equipment, and services are procured in compliance with project requirements, budget constraints, and timelines while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Planning and Strategy
Collaborate with project teams to identify material and equipment needs based on design specifications and project timelines.
Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliability and quality.
Conduct regular assessments of vendor performance. - Sourcing and Negotiation
Source materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations during procurement. - Quality Assurance
Ensure procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Coordinate with quality control teams for inspections and approvals. - Budget and Cost Control
Monitor procurement budgets and seek cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Prepare cost analyses and reports for management review. - Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
Generate periodic procurement status reports for internal stakeholders. - Coordination and Collaboration
Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and design teams to address procurement-related challenges.
Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
- Technical Skills:
Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
Strong negotiation and analytical skills. - Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
