We are now looking for Procurement Engineer to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Reports To
The Procurement Engineer reports to the Manager, Procurement.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Knowledge of procurement processes and well versed with procurement of technical goods and services.
- Conduct vendor evaluation and prequalification. Evaluate new and existing suppliers and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan the procurement activities.
- Broad knowledge about the equipment, materials, and supplies used in the industry and their suppliers.
- Procure equipment, materials, and systems complying with the project quality, specification requirements within specified budget.
- Prepare project-tailored procurement strategies and plan.
- Close expediting of goods and services to ensure timely delivery/completion.
- Ensure compliance with management approved procedures and policies with respect to time, cost, and quality.
- Implementation of PO and contract management.
- Cooperate with other team members, company, and end customer.
- Ensure safe, quality, timely, and cost-efficient procurement implementation.
- Report efficiently on procurement activities, deviations, and achievements.
- Suggest and implement improvements in overall performance.
- Ensure the agreed project deliverables are delivered in accordance with the agreed quality, scope, and schedule.
- Ensure that all interdisciplinary checks and other quality checks are effectively performed.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Energy, and Environmental objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/law/business/Contracts or related studies.
- 5-10 years Oil & Gas experience. Middle East experience preferable.
- Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Strong knowledge in sourcing and suppliers' management.
- Meets UAE visa requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
