The Director of Supply Chain Management position is to provide strategic leadership and direction for the organization's entire supply chain function.
This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive supply chain strategies to drive efficiency, minimize costs, and optimize processes across procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
The Director plays a pivotal role in aligning supply chain activities with overall business objectives and ensuring seamless integration with other functional areas.
Business Growth:
Oversee strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations to optimize purchasing decisions and ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery.
Drive cost reduction strategies, value engineering efforts, and supplier consolidation initiatives to achieve savings targets and improve overall procurement efficiency.
Evaluate market trends, supplier performance, and industry dynamics to identify strategic sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
Client Experience:
Cultivate strong relationships and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including senior leadership, functional heads, and business units to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
Engage with external stakeholders, industry associations, and peer networks to stay abreast of market trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in supply chain management.
Team Management:
Attract, develop, and retain top talent within the supply chain organization, fostering a culture of learning, diversity, and inclusion.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills, competencies, and capabilities of supply chain team members.
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
15 years of experience.
