Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Coordinator to join our engineering team. The Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the procurement of materials and services to support engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have 13 years of experience in procurement or a related field and a strong understanding of supply chain management principles.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to determine procurement needs and specifications
• Identify potential suppliers and obtain quotes and proposals
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
• Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
• Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to improve future procurement processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
• 13 years of experience in procurement or a related field
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively

Additional Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Navisworks. Proficiency in creating 3D models, Piping Isometrics, GA drawings, and Piping Layouts. In-depth knowledge of Piping BOM, MTO, and Piping Material Specifications (PMS). Familiarity with piping support systems and basic understanding of stress analysis. Solid understanding of P&ID for boilers and power plants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions. Strong leadership abilities to manage and guide a team towards successful project completion.

Education:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BE) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design stream.
