Procurement Coordinator
Job description
- Coordinate and manage the procurement process for goods and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and pricing.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that arise.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with supplier selection and qualification processes, including conducting site visits and audits.
- Manage inventory levels and procurement budgets to optimize cost savings and minimize risk.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement to drive continuous improvement.
- Support cross-functional teams in achieving procurement objectives and delivering value to the organization.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Familiarity with supplier evaluation and qualification methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
