Client: Management Consulting Company

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate specializes in CAPEX (Capital Expenditures) with a focus on optimizing the procurement process for high-value long-term investments such as machinery, infrastructure, construction projects, and large-scale equipment. His/Her role is critical in ensuring cost efficiency, supplier reliability, risk mitigation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Tasks:

1. Define procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and budgets.
2. Assess make-or-buy decisions for capital assets.
3. Identify opportunities for cost savings and value improvement.
4. Conduct Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotations (RFQs).
5. Use Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models to assess supplier bids.
6. Develop and negotiate long-term contracts with suppliers.
7. Manage risks related to pricing, delivery timelines, and supplier reliability.
8. Implement cost reduction strategies such as bulk purchasing, supplier consolidation, and value engineering.
9. Implement e-procurement tools and ERP systems (SAP, Ariba, Oracle, Coupa).
10. Collaborate with finance, engineering, and operations teams to align procurement with project goals.
11. Evaluate vendor reliability, quality, and compliance.

Requisites: Consulting attitude and experience in Consulting Tier 2-3; previous experience in procurement projects; Arabic speaker preferred, English also working well; interested in a very challenging context to work with.

Workload/Location: Full-time, Abu Dhabi on-ground.

Start Date: Immediate need; the candidate needs to give availability within 15-20 days after Engagement Confirmation Letter.

Period of Engagement: 6-12 months, potential hiring.
