Job Summary
Our client in the real estate and construction field is looking for a Procurement Construction Team Leader.

Job Description:

  1. Compare the prices of sub-contractors with the proposed prices from the Estimation Department, negotiate the best price to execute the specified item according to project specifications, and prepare the contract of the awarded sub-contractors.
  2. Issue advanced payment certificate for the sub-contractors according to the contract conditions.
  3. Attach the approved cost sheet with the advanced payment certificate and acquire final approval from the managing director.
  4. Review quantities of the major items before contracting and proceeding with Purchase orders in coordination with the Technical Department and site management team.
  5. Submit and approve the procurement schedule for the project showing a clear plan of delivery of items.
  6. Review the quantities of purchase orders as per approved shop drawings in coordination with the Technical Department and add waste ratios according to the availability of material in the local markets or imported.
  7. Liaise and resolve any conflicts or discrepancies arising between the project management team and subcontractors regarding the valuation of onsite works and invoices.
  8. Review the procurement weekly memo, ensuring the required payments for subcontractors/suppliers are on track to ensure productive site progress and procurement cycle.
  9. Provide valuation for variation orders and item price breakdown for the commercial Department to submit project variation orders to the client/consultant.
  10. Provide the planning department with cost effects arising from claims, showing project overheads, price increase percentages, financing costs, and currency fluctuation impact.
  11. Review final invoices for sub-contractors sent by the project manager and calculate the final cost of the project before sending the final invoice to the consultant and client.
  12. Re-review subcontractor's final invoices' quantities and any deductions ratios after receiving a copy of the approved final invoice after review by the consultant and client.

Job Requirements:

  1. Architecture/Civil Bachelor Degree
  2. Minimum 3 to 7 years experience in a procurement role (Fit out projects is a must)
  3. At least 2 years of site execution experience.
  4. At least 2 years of cost control & QS experience.
