Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and we are looking to hire a Process Engineer to be based at our Abu Dhabi Engineering Center. Work on Basic FEED or detailed engineering design to comply with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop broad and professional process engineering competencies to provide future engineering capacity with the process team.
- Be accountable for the successful completion of assigned engineering tasks and the preparation of process engineering documents.
- Expected to perform design activities assigned by Process Lead Engineer, preparing process equipment and instrument-related documents for project requirements within a given time frame.
- Work with information and check for the accuracy of documents.
- Review design documents/drawings prepared by the design team.
- Keep up to date with new developments of standards, process software, and procedures and implement them in the day-to-day work.
- Work together with the process team and carry out process simulations, adequacy checks of equipment/instruments, and sizing calculations for Process equipment (Pumps, Heat Exchangers, distillation columns, compressors, separators, reactors, etc.).
- Provide information in the form of equipment data sheets.
- Perform hydraulic calculations as well as necessary pump NPSH calculations.
- Prepare process specifications/Philosophies and process deliverables such as Process Design basis, PFDs, UFDs, PSFS, HMBs, P&IDs, Line list, Equipment List, Process Data Sheets for equipment, Instrument data sheets, Process Narratives, Process and Control philosophies, and Cause & effect sheets.
- Work in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
- B.E. / B.TECH. / B.S. Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in Process Engineering for Oil and Energy projects.
- Experience in similar design consultancies in Oil and gas projects.
- Hands-on experience with Process Simulation Software (HYSYS, Promax, Unisys, Flarenet for Gas Processing/Refineries).
- Hands-on experience in Process Hydraulic Softwares (PipeSim, Pipeline Studio (TGNet/TLNet), SPS, OLGA).
- Good knowledge on Process Safety Requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
