Process Engineer - John Wood Group

Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and we are looking to hire a Process Engineer to be based at our Abu Dhabi Engineering Center. Work on Basic FEED or detailed engineering design to comply with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop broad and professional process engineering competencies to provide future engineering capacity with the process team.
2. Be accountable for the successful completion of assigned engineering tasks and the preparation of process engineering documents.
3. Expected to perform design activities assigned by Process Lead Engineer, preparing process equipment and instrument-related documents for project requirements within a given time frame.
4. Work with information and check for the accuracy of documents.
5. Review design documents/drawings prepared by the design team.
6. Keep up to date with new developments of standards, process software, and procedures and implement them in the day-to-day work.
7. Work together with the process team and carry out process simulations, adequacy checks of equipment/instruments, and sizing calculations for Process equipment (Pumps, Heat Exchangers, distillation columns, compressors, separators, reactors, etc.).
8. Provide information in the form of equipment data sheets.
9. Perform hydraulic calculations as well as necessary pump NPSH calculations.
10. Prepare process specifications/Philosophies and process deliverables such as Process Design basis, PFDs, UFDs, PSFS, HMBs, P&IDs, Line list, Equipment List, Process Data Sheets for equipment, Instrument data sheets, Process Narratives, Process and Control philosophies, and Cause & effect sheets.
11. Work in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. B.E. / B.TECH. / B.S. Chemical Engineering
2. Minimum 5 years experience in Process Engineering for Oil and Energy projects.
3. Experience in similar design consultancies in Oil and gas projects.
4. Hands-on experience with Process Simulation Software (HYSYS, Promax, Unisys, Flarenet for Gas Processing/Refineries).
5. Hands-on experience in Process Hydraulic Softwares (PipeSim, Pipeline Studio (TGNet/TLNet), SPS, OLGA).
6. Good knowledge on Process Safety Requirements.
7. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
