Position Overview

The primary responsibilities of this role include the maintenance and inspection of assigned systems assets, with a focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Other responsibilities include compliance with safety regulations, identification/resolution of defects, addressing service quality issues, responding to customer feedback, and managing additional service requirements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Monitor, control, and analyze maintenance contractors’ performance data to assess reliability, safety, and efficiency.
2. Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for performance improvement.
3. Collaborate with maintenance contractor to plan and execute maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and safety standards.
4. Monitor maintenance schedules and implement adjustments as necessary to minimize downtime.
5. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
6. Implement safety improvement initiatives and participate in safety audits and inspections.
7. Manage assigned assets, including maintenance, lifecycle planning, and asset optimization.
8. Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to maintenance contractor.
9. Conduct technical assessments and recommend improvements.
10. Identify areas for process enhancement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
11. Implement best practices to optimize rolling stock performance.
12. Carry out any other task or work assigned by the Station Maintenance Manager.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Academic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical engineering or similar engineering streams.

Professional Qualifications:

1. Professional qualification or certification from a related professional body is an advantage.

Experience:

1. 5 years or more in process engineering, preferably in transportation, logistics, or a similar industry.
2. Knowledge of railway safety standards and operational procedures is an advantage.
3. Familiarity with railway station standards and protocols is a significant advantage.
4. Knowledge of condition-based maintenance (CBM) and predictive maintenance.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Anticipation, analysis, identification, and problem-solving capacity.
7. Stakeholder management with internal and external customers.

Specific Requirements

1. Out-of-hours attendance, exceptional duty, or travelling.
2. On-Call responsibility.
