Process Automation Engineer

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Electrical, Computers/Systems, or Mechatronics.

Must have between 10- and 15-years’ Automation experience. Experience with an operating company, systems vendor, or engineering services provider for the onshore or offshore oil & gas and/or energy industry, is preferred.

At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in:

1. Distributed Control Systems (DCS) hardware
2. Network architecture
3. Integration, configuration, and programming
4. Industrial protocols
5. HMI Graphics and databases
6. SCADA System configuration and installations

Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:

1. Honeywell Experion/TDC DCS or FSC/SM
2. DeltaV DCS/SIS
3. Yokogawa CENTUM DCS/ProSafe
4. ABB 800XA

Experience with PLC platforms (Allen Bradley PLC, Siemens or Triconex, etc.) is a plus.

Demonstrated proficient knowledge of the principles of:

1. Relational databases
2. Application interfaces
3. Human Machine Interface design and implementation

Strong background and direct experience with multiple systems platforms, operating systems and the interactions between systems, system hardware and architecture.

Proficient knowledge of P&IDs and instrumentation/control equipment. Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, MS Teams, etc.).

Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers, clients, and vendors.
