Private Equity Investment Director

Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the strategic direction and execution of M&A transactions and structuring of JVs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and growth strategies.
2. Structure and negotiate complex deal terms, ensuring optimal value creation and risk mitigation for the organization.
3. Oversee financial analysis, modelling, and due diligence processes, providing strategic insights to inform decision-making.
4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operational teams, to facilitate seamless transaction execution.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including investment banks, legal advisors, and industry experts.
6. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and strategic partnerships.
7. Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to the leadership team and Investment Committee, outlining transaction proposals and financial implications.
8. Monitor and assess the performance of acquired companies and existing portfolio and subsidiaries, driving post-merger integration efforts to achieve synergies and optimize performance but also to ensure that business plan and strategies are being adhered to.
9. Oversee FP&A activities to develop dynamic financial models for monitoring the performance of portfolio companies and subsidiaries.
10. Lead all special situations projects relating to the shareholder including cost restructuring, strategy assessment, revenue optimization, key talent decisions, etc.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
2. 8+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate M&A, with a focus on leading transaction execution and structuring.
3. Proven expertise in managing deal execution, financial modelling, due diligence, and post-merger integration.
4. Familiarity with key industries, including Sports, Hospitality and Real Estate, is highly desirable.
5. Experience with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg or Thomson Reuters is an advantage.
