Principal T&I engineers plan, coordinate, and monitor T&I scope of the project, from the initial conception to the offshore execution and final completion. They play a key supporting role to the Senior T&I Manager to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day execution of T&I activities and provide T&I input to the proposals.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all T&I works are executed safely.
Prepare the document distribution matrix and ensure stakeholders acknowledge their respective requirements in line with project requirements and manage T&I Deliverables MDR.
Co-ordinate, prepare, implement, and manage any required T&I related engineering method statements and execution plans, including travel to offshore and work on board the installation vessel during critical operations if required.
Review T&I related materials requisitions.
Prepare a list of critical services in association with Engineering, QC & HSES.
Provide input in the preparation of additional work requests and change orders.
Prepare, submit, monitor, and control project technical queries.
Coordinate technical issues relating to T&I engineering between customer and the project.
Be aware of cost/schedule opportunities and liaise with the Senior T&I manager on possible areas of risk or reward.
Be aware of the risk management system, the risk registers, and the respective responsibilities assigned.
Monitor materials usage to ensure possible shortages are identified and addressed at the earliest possible opportunity.
Monitor all elements of work execution and provide input to the planning department as necessary.
Monitor schedule activities to achieve ‘on time’ results, including follow-up with external subcontractors and suppliers when required.
Investigate labor and other productivity variances and report to the Senior T&I manager.
Liaise with the subcontract department to ensure project budgetary and schedule objectives are met.
Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth integration of services with Lamprell production.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) responsibilities.
Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.
Stand in for the Senior T&I manager during holidays or absence.
Ensure that all T&I activities are carried out in accordance with the Lamprell Group Management System (LGMS).
