Principal Solutions Architect

Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Data and AI Delivery Principal Solutions Architect to lead our Data and AI initiatives and drive the development of sophisticated Data and AI solutions. The Data and AI Delivery Principal Solutions Architect will play a critical role in shaping our Data and AI strategy, leading high-impact projects, and providing technical leadership across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AI/ML, a strategic mindset, and exceptional leadership abilities.

The opportunity

Inception is the UAE’s national-scale enabler in AI Research and Development. Partnering with Microsoft's AI SaaS, we offer domain-specific Agentic AI Orchestrator platforms utilizing reasoning agents for precise and cost-effective services. Our focus includes AI incubation, IP creation, applied AI R&D, and AI investment products. By creating models tailored to specific domains and languages, we ensure superior accuracy and efficiency. Collaborating with top universities and industry giants to drive significant advancements in AI technology within the region.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership:

  • Define and drive the AI and data platform strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Identify, prioritize, and architect AI and data opportunities that deliver significant business value.

  • Serve as a thought leader in AI and data engineering, influencing both internal teams and industry trends.

• Solution Architecture:

  • Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, cost-effective, and high-performance cloud or on-prem infrastructure for data and ML platforms.

  • Architect robust, secure AI and data solutions that seamlessly integrate with existing systems.

  • Evaluate and adopt new AI technologies, frameworks, and observability tools to enhance platform capabilities.

• Data & AI Platform Design:

  • Define data flow architectures, ontologies, schemas, and storage strategies for structured, unstructured, and ML output data.

  • Lead the design of CI/CD pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and AI model deployment, ensuring streamlined workflows and robust version control.

  • Ensure security, compliance, and role-based access control (RBAC) are embedded in all data and AI workflows.

• Observability & Optimization:

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and optimization strategies to ensure platform reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

  • Utilize observability tools to proactively detect and resolve issues, enhancing system health and uptime.

• Project & Technical Leadership:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of AI and data projects, from conceptualization to deployment and continuous optimization.

  • Provide technical guidance, feasibility analysis, and component-level design for scalable data and AI platforms.

  • Lead cross-functional teams (data engineers, ML engineers, DevOps, product teams) to foster collaboration and deliver impactful solutions.

• Technical Expertise & Innovation:

  • Provide deep technical expertise in AI disciplines (machine learning, NLP, computer vision) and data engineering.

  • Guide the development of complex AI models, algorithms, and MLOps practices to streamline AI workflows.

  • Stay at the forefront of AI research, bringing innovative ideas and best practices to the organization.

• Collaboration & Influence:

  • Partner with leadership to communicate the value, impact, and strategic direction of AI and data initiatives.

  • Collaborate with product management, data science, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and innovation within the AI and data teams.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in AI/ML solution design and development, with a track record of delivering impactful AI solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale AI projects and managing cross-functional teams.
• Extensive experience with any two cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI services.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Pyspark.
• Expertise in machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, computer vision, and deep learning techniques.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.).
• Strong understanding of data engineering, ETL processes, and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
• Experience with MLOps and deploying models in production environments.
• Experience in designing the data and ML frameworks.
