Primary Art and Design Technology Teacher

ICS Al Manhal is seeking a creative and dedicated Primary Art and Design Technology Teacher to inspire students and develop their artistic and technical skills. As a BSO-accredited school, we provide a high-quality British curriculum education in a stimulating and supportive environment.

Position : Primary Art and Design Technology Teacher

Job Start Date : August 2025

Key Responsibilities :

1. Plan and deliver engaging Art and Design Technology (DT) lessons aligned with the British curriculum.
2. Teach students a range of art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
3. Develop students’ design and practical skills through hands-on DT projects using a variety of materials.
4. Introduce students to key artists, designers, and engineers, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.
5. Encourage critical thinking, innovation, and craftsmanship in both art and DT projects.
6. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support artistic and technical development.
7. Ensure safe use of tools and materials in DT lessons while promoting creativity and independence.
8. Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links and interdisciplinary projects.
9. Organise art exhibitions, DT showcases, and creative workshops to celebrate student achievements.
10. Foster an inclusive and inspiring learning environment where all students feel encouraged to explore their creativity.

Requirements :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Design Technology, Fine Arts, or a related field.
2. PGCE with QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification).
3. Minimum two years of teaching experience in Art and/or DT at the primary level.
4. Experience teaching in a British curriculum school is preferred.
5. Strong knowledge of artistic techniques, design principles, and hands-on DT projects.
6. Passion for nurturing creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills in young learners.
7. Excellent classroom management, organisation, and communication skills.
8. ADEK approval or eligibility is an advantage.
