Execute customer proposal requests, coordinate company bids, create solutions and develop sourcing strategies to achieve the goal of securing bids.
Oversee all aspects of proposal preparation, ensuring quality, compelling bids are submitted in a timely manner.
Review all customer requirements to ensure that they are met in the proposal and collaborate with the stakeholders to include all necessary information within the proposals.
Organize and track all requests and responses using company databases.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date rate databases and pricing models.
Analyze historical pricing data to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
Assist in managing freight rates and tariffs for various transportation modes (e.g., air, ocean, road, rail).
Collaborate with carriers and vendors to negotiate favorable pricing agreements. Update the database in regular intervals to keep the team informed.
Monitor changes in fuel costs, exchange rates, and regulatory requirements that impact pricing.
Manage and maintain freight rates, tariffs, and pricing agreements for diverse transportation modes.
Work closely with the sales team to ensure pricing accuracy and competitiveness.
Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to gather relevant information for pricing proposals.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in pricing databases and systems.
Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies in pricing data.
Communicate pricing updates, changes, and policies to relevant stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in pricing operations.
Propose and implement solutions to streamline pricing processes and enhance efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in pricing management.
What you can contribute:
3 to 5 years’ related experience.
Knowledge in freight rates and tariffs for various transportation modes (e.g., air, ocean, road, rail).
Detailed understanding of pricing strategies.
Knowledge and experience in the preparation of proposals and quotations.
Experience in the daily work with a global CRM/ Software application.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Power Point and Excel).
