Power Production Technician

Principal Accountabilities (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)

1. Monitor and operate control boards to regulate power plants.
2. Operate and maintain diesel generating units.
3. Operate and maintain auxiliary equipment.
4. Inspect equipment for malfunctions.
5. Analyze water samples and add chemicals as required.
6. Oil, grease, and adjust machinery and equipment and make minor repairs.
7. Make periodic inspections to ensure all equipment and controls are operating properly and are in good condition.
8. Maintain consumption and production records.
9. Report defects and recommend improvements, alterations, and repairs.
