Job Description
The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a post-doctoral fellow in Structural/Materials Engineering. The candidate should be knowledgeable of construction material characterization tests, structural design, and rehabilitation with fiber-reinforced materials and composite-based systems. The candidate should be able to synthesize sustainable construction materials in the laboratory, design and implement structural repair solutions, and conduct experimental testing for characterization, performance evaluation, and verification. The candidate should have the ability to develop experience in numerical analysis, analytical modeling, and laboratory testing of large-scale structural members. The candidate should have a PhD in Civil Engineering, with a PhD dissertation in the field of structural/materials engineering.
Minimum Qualification
A PhD degree in civil engineering with a PhD dissertation in the field of structural/materials engineering, supplemented with documented evidence to demonstrate skills in experimental testing, data analysis, technical writing, and reporting.
Preferred Qualification

1. Experience in technical writing and publications in Scopus-indexed journals.
2. Experience in preparing research proposals.
3. Experience in materials characterization and structural testing.
4. Ability to work independently and among a group.
5. Demonstrable initiative, commitment, and dedication in executing the role.
