The key objectives for this role are:- Ensuring that all project activities align with local and international health and safety regulations.
- Identifying potential hazards and implementing measures to minimize risks at the workplace.
- Analyzing accidents or near-miss incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Developing and conducting training programs to promote a culture of safety among employees.
- Ensuring operations adhere to environmental standards and implementing sustainability practices.
- Creating and updating HSE policies and procedures in line with industry standards.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
- Establishing and managing protocols for responding to emergencies effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIESKey Accountabilities and Responsibilities:- Promote alignment and lessons learned sharing across all Fabrication sites. Focus on use and sharing of HSE Best Practices from other projects and industry where appropriate.
- Identify and resolve issues prior to incident and adverse trends. Actively engage with Fabrication Team and Contractor Management to drive improvements in overall safety performance.
- Maintain familiarity with relevant HSE Codes of Practice and other HSE requirements, as well as ZADCO and UZ1MMBD HSES related policies, programs, plans, procedures and guidelines.
- Identify HSE related issues that may affect UZ1MMBD Fabrication Team Members and contractors and works with the Fabrication Team, UZ1MMBD HSES Department, Engineering (Loss Prevention), site personnel, IPMT members and contractors to help resolve related HSE issues.
- Review required HSE studies scoped and coordinated by contractors and Project, seek input and consultation from UZ1MMBD HSES and other Project and ZADCO departments as appropriate and coordinate responses.
- Prepare and Review Fabrication specific HSE plans and procedures and gain necessary endorsements.
- Review contractor HSE plans and procedures and provide input to Project and contractor achieve Project acceptance of contractor required documents.
- Ensure that any Fabrication incidents are immediately reported to management and UZMMBD HSES in parallel.
- Provide support for Fabrication related incident investigations and act as the HSE representative on incident investigation teams (as required).
- Promote, support and participate in HSE Observation Card (HSEOC) program.
- Compile Fabrication HSE performance data and provide to management and UZ1MMBD HSES.
- Conduct Fabrication HSE site inspections and audits of contractor HSE program, plans and practices in conjunction with site personnel.
- Support EPC2 Fabrication Manager and Fabrication Area Managers and EPC2 HSES Manager to contractors and subcontractors fulfill their HSE obligations.
- Regularly meet with contractor and company representatives to communicate and reinforce Project HSE related expectations.
- Coordinate Fabrication safety meetings and Safety Steering Teams at project and yard levels (SST2 and SST3)
- Provide information regarding Fabrication HSE performance and initiatives to UZ1MMBD HSES for utilization / discussion in the UZ1MMBD Safety Steering Team and UZ1MMBD IPMT safety meetings.
- Support and contribute to overall UZ1MMBD HSE Program initiatives.

Expected:- Bachelor degree or HSE related diploma / certification. Engineering degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years work / industry experience (Oil & Gas industry experience desired).
- Minimum of 10 years HSE related experience in oil and gas for international company
- Management and Leadership experience desired with demonstrated leadership traits.
- Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint or equivalent software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Willing to travel frequently to domestic and international locations.
