PMC - Project Engineer-Abu Dhabi UAE

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced PMC Project Engineer to join our team for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will coordinate, plan, and oversee project activities ensuring they are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with quality and safety standards. The role requires strong technical expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and managing project activities for successful execution.
• Develop and monitor project schedules ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure compliance with design and technical standards.
• Oversee and monitor contractor performance ensuring adherence to project requirements and timelines.
• Support the preparation of project progress reports identifying potential delays and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures across all project phases.
• Participate in technical discussions and resolve engineering challenges during design and construction phases.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Assist in the preparation and review of procurement packages including technical evaluations and vendor selections.
• Track and document change orders, variations, and associated impacts on the project.
• Promote quality assurance and ensure all activities meet project standards and specifications.

Qualifications :

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Pipeline Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience:
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in project engineering with at least 5 years in Oil & Gas pipeline construction projects.
  • Experience working in a PMC environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and pipeline systems.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of international standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
  • Familiarity with HSE regulations and practices in the Oil & Gas sector.
