Job description

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Logistics Specialist for our client ADNOC Offshore in Abu Dhabi as part of our Logistics team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based full time at our client office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Controls Manager with a proven track record in robust cost and schedule management, ideally coming from a cost control background, to take on a high value portfolio of projects for a high-profile client.

Key Objective

To undertake and supervise/manage the effective receipt, storage, movement, and control of all materials to support the business.

To liaise with Supply Chain, user groups, third parties, client, and Supply Base & Marine contractors to ensure that all materials and equipment are received, marshalled, and shipped in accordance with company procedures and internal controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for the successful delivery of all materials and logistics activities.
  • Establish, manage, and maintain the warehousing/materials control operation.
  • Coordinate the efficient operation of the warehouse operations.
  • Coach and monitor staff in operating processes and safe working practices.
  • Management of allocation, control, issue, and marshalling of materials.
  • Production of shipping documents for all materials movements.
  • Timely updating of procurement system with goods receipts and shipping documentation.
  • Warehouse materials handling and preparation for shipping.
  • Management of Freight Forwarding and Import/Export activities.
  • Identification and management of materials shortages and surplus.
  • Control of Inventory in accordance with required inventory regime.
  • Requisitioning and control of small plant and equipment.
  • Production of Materials Status reporting to project and client.
  • Coordinating material supply to fabrication items.
  • Ensuring maintenance and preservation of materials.
  • Attending Project Progress Meetings.
  • Liaison with all Project personnel and suppliers.
  • Ensures all Supply Chain activities are carried out in accordance with project execution plan.
  • Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety commitment.
  • All other tasks as reasonably requested by line management.

QUALIFICATIONS

What makes you remarkable?

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 15 years materials/logistics experience.
  • Varied and detailed work experience in the industry.
  • Previous use of ERPs such as Maximo, Oracle, SAP.
