PMC - Instrumentation Control Engineer-Abu Dhabi UAE

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PMC Instrumentation & Control Engineer to support the engineering activities for instrumentation and control systems in a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The Instrumentation & Control Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and ensuring the quality of instrumentation and control systems to meet project specifications, international standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review designs, specifications, and drawings for instrumentation and control systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Perform calculations and simulations to validate the performance and reliability of instrumentation and control systems.
• Assist in the selection and specification of instrumentation equipment, ensuring alignment with operational and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation and control systems into the overall project design.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance during design, installation, and commissioning to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities for instrumentation and control systems.
• Address and resolve technical queries (TQ) and incorporate approved changes into designs.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to instrumentation and control systems, including progress updates for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards in all instrumentation and control engineering activities.
• Stay updated on advancements in instrumentation and control technologies and apply best practices to project activities.

Qualifications :

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 7-10 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
  • Experience in a PMC environment is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in design and analysis tools for instrumentation and control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, API).
  • Familiarity with SCADA, DCS, and PLC systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic project environment.
