PMC Expeditor Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Expeditor with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry to work on ADNOC Onshore project, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Review and supervise expediting of purchase orders to ensure that they are delivered/ready for collection within project schedule/purchase order terms.
2. Assist in the creation of expediting reports in materials management system.
3. Assist in managing the expediting process of FEED/EPC Contractor's procurement activities.
4. Continuously expedite purchase orders and relevant procurement activities pertaining to FEED/EPC Contractor.
5. Understand the supplier delivery obligations from the terms and conditions of purchase.
6. Ability to interpret supplier production plans to identify improvement opportunities and negotiate delivery improvements.
7. Update materials management system with the expediting status of Purchase Orders.
8. Continually set expediting follow-up dates in materials management system.
9. Issue expediting progress reports and update system accordingly.
10. Notify Procurement / Supply Chain Lead of any potential schedule slippages.
11. Maintain an auditable file of all relevant expediting documentation for each purchase order in relevant shared drive/area.
12. Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices.
13. Understand and be aware of ADNOC Onshore Standards & Procedures.
14. Participate in expediting the delivery of procured items, production progress, and shipment schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Qualified to ISCED Level 4/5 (Post-Secondary non-tertiary/Short-Cycle tertiary).

Knowledge, skills and experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering (i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical, IT, Computer, Software, Electronic, etc.) or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of ten (10+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including five (5) years (preferred) in the GCC Region.
2. Detailed knowledge of Suppliers and Expediting Status Reporting.
3. Awareness of ADNOC Group Standards & Procedures.
4. Previous experience in similar roles of expediting within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
5. Awareness of supplier production schedules.
6. Understanding of how terms and conditions of purchase influence delivery requirements.
7. Previous use of ERPs such as Maximo, Oracle, SAP.
