JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Commissioning Manager for our client ADNOC Gas in Abu Dhabi within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be client office based with a possibility of onshore site based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist EPC contractors with developing system completion plans and ensure that these plans are meeting the intent of project specifications with regard to engineering deliverables during detailed design phase. Lead the review and approval process with primary focus on EPC contractor during detailed design phase.
  2. Review and edit contractor drafted pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures.
  3. Support site commissioning teams in fabrication yards and at site with critical activities and regularly inspect equipment and systems with focus on interfaces and tie-ins.
  4. Actively assist EPC contractor to identify commissioning interfaces between EPC contractor and key module or other suppliers and ensure that any technical interface issues are raised early.
  5. Identify temporary commissioning interfaces that will be needed during the commissioning phase of the project at site and ensure those are being addressed (e.g. temporary blinds, vents, drains, electrical power, etc.)

Expected:

  1. Degree with a minimum of 20 years Oil and Gas industry experience, including at least 5 years on major capital projects, (> 500 M USD) with pre-commissioning and commissioning focus.
  2. Experience within an Oil and Gas operating company is also highly desired and may be considered in lieu of capital project experience.
  3. Must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with a strong command of the English language.
  4. Must be willing to travel extensively for multi-week periods and have the flexibility to adjust work location to support project needs.
  5. Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa.
