PMC - Civil Structural Lead Engineer-Abu Dhabi UAE

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced PMC Civil & Structural Lead Engineer to oversee and manage all civil and structural engineering activities for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with project requirements and standards, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the civil and structural engineering activities for the project, ensuring timely and quality delivery of designs and documentation.
• Review and approve civil and structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project management, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of civil and structural designs.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to address complex civil and structural challenges.
• Monitor and evaluate contractor performance during design and construction phases, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that construction activities meet design intent and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards in all civil and structural engineering activities.
• Review and resolve technical queries (TQ) and engineering change requests related to civil and structural aspects.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and recommendations for project management and stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 12-15 years of experience in civil and structural engineering with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
  • Previous experience in a PMC environment is highly desirable.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in engineering design and analysis software (e.g. STAAD Pro, SAP 2000, AutoCAD).
  • Strong knowledge of international civil and structural engineering codes and standards (e.g. ACI, ASCE, Eurocodes).
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills for effective team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
