We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Engineer to join our MEP team for high-rise building construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, managing, and overseeing all plumbing-related activities, ensuring that plumbing systems are integrated seamlessly with the mechanical and electrical systems to meet safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Planning:
Develop and design plumbing systems for high-rise buildings including water supply, drainage, storm water systems, and sanitary systems.
Collaborate with the architectural, structural, and MEP design teams to integrate plumbing systems into the overall building design.
Ensure that designs meet local codes and standards as well as sustainability and energy efficiency goals.
Project Management:
Oversee the installation and commissioning of plumbing systems onsite, ensuring they comply with design specifications, schedules, and budgets.
Supervise and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and onsite teams to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety guidelines.
Review construction documents, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Conduct site inspections and attend progress meetings to resolve any plumbing-related issues or concerns.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Ensure all plumbing installations adhere to safety regulations, local plumbing codes, and environmental standards.
Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure efficient operation and resolve any issues during the construction process.
Prepare detailed reports on plumbing system designs, installations, and maintenance schedules.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with MEP engineers (Mechanical & Electrical) to ensure system compatibility and efficient integration.
Coordinate with other project teams including architects, contractors, and construction managers to ensure smooth project execution.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and contractors.
