Planning Manager

We are looking for an experienced Planning Manager to join a tier 1 fit-out contractor in the UAE to work on some of the most exciting projects in the region.

The Role:

Develop and monitor the project schedules and ensure that all project milestones are matching with the project deadlines, ensuring resource allocation to projects, and functional support to projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Function as a main advisory to the Project Manager / Directors in all issues concerning planning, scheduling, and resources needed. Deals with progress measurement delays, corrective actions and claims.
• Providing management oversight for all phases of the construction project, from Pre construction through design.
• Procurement, Construction and Commissioning, including coordination of Labor force, material and equipment, ensuring standard specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
• Maintaining company standards, whilst respecting and reflecting the abilities and aspirations of the project team and local culture.
• Approve the initial project schedule /plan framework and give resources figure during the tendering phase.
• Ensure that activities of contract program are representative of contract requirements.
• Ensure that the plan complies with the contractual time frames and milestone dates.
• Ensure that all project phases (design, construction, contractual requirements, engineering activities, procurement items and material equipment deliveries are included and well linked in the program.
• Make regular site visits to monitor progress and to analyze claim reasons.
• Prepare budget briefs and cash flows. Check the logic flow of the program.

Requirements:

• 12-15 years in a similar role, Senior Managerial position.
• Bachelor's Degree Civil Engineering, Architecture
• Experience in Primavera project planning program
• Effective planning and prioritizing
• Monitors and controls own work and work of subordinates
• High personal and ethical standards
• Problem solving and decision making skill
