Planning Engineer - Guildhall

The Role
Guildhall is seeking a highly experienced Planning Engineer to join our client's team for an exciting bridge construction project in Ras Al Khaimah. Our client is a leading construction and engineering firm specializing in large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6.
2. Coordinate with project teams including contractors, engineers, and consultants to ensure accurate project timelines and resource allocation.
3. Provide regular progress reports to senior management highlighting any potential delays, risks, or issues and recommending corrective actions.
4. Evaluate project performance and forecast future progress based on analysis of data and schedules.
5. Assist in preparing detailed project plans including milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
6. Manage the integration of procurement, logistics, and resources into the project schedule.
7. Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays.
8. Ensure that all project activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
9. Collaborate with the site team to resolve scheduling conflicts and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
10. Support the project manager in cost management by identifying any potential cost overruns linked to scheduling issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in planning for building construction and infrastructure projects with significant experience in bridge construction.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 software (essential).
• Strong understanding of project management, scheduling, and resource planning for large-scale construction projects.
• Experience in managing complex infrastructure projects including bridge works.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address challenges proactively.
• Experience with construction-related software and tools along with excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and make decisions quickly and efficiently.
• Knowledge of UAE safety and construction regulations.
