Planning Engineer - Desalination Plant - Site Role

Responsibilities

1. Monitor project schedule and progress against the EPC Contractor’s construction and commissioning schedule.
2. Assist EPC Contractor’s planning and interfacing activities to limit the impact of any program deviations.
3. Identify delays early and agree on remedies with the EPC Contractor.
4. Prepare and maintain documentation on planning and scheduling progress.
5. Audit EPC Contractor’s planning procedures and compliance with agreed procedures.
6. Review and agree on types and timing of reports with the EPC Contractor.
7. Critically review EPC Contractor’s critical path network for logic, realism, and detail.
8. Produce trend reports for design and construction progress.
9. Monitor progress through daily / weekly / monthly reports submitted by the EPC Contractor.
10. Ensure project controls documents are fully developed by the EPC Contractor.

Qualifications

1. 5-10 years of experience in project planning roles.
2. Familiarity with on-site operations and planning for BOOT projects.
3. Experience in desalination projects and site experience.
4. Proficiency in Primavera, MS Project, and MS Office applications.
5. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering from a recognized university.
6. Proficiency in English is mandatory.
