Planning Engineer (Civil Construction)

Micah Solutions FZE is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Engineer specializing in Civil Construction to join our client's project management team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, ensuring that civil construction projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Your expertise in planning and scheduling will be essential in optimizing resource allocation and project execution.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop detailed project plans and schedules, including milestones and deliverables for civil construction projects.
2. Monitor project progress and make adjustments to ensure on-time delivery.
3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and constraints.
4. Utilize project management software to track project performance and generate reports.
5. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
6. Prepare and present project updates and forecasts to management and stakeholders.
7. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and quality standards.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in civil construction projects.
3. Strong knowledge of project planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
8. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in project planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Professional certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
2. Experience with cost estimation and resource management.
