Planning Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in high-rise building projects and specialized expertise in G+2 villa construction. The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing, monitoring, and updating project programs, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
2. Prepare baseline programs, resource-loaded schedules, and cash flow projections.
3. Monitor project progress, identify critical activities and potential delays, and propose mitigation strategies.
4. Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Teams to gather project information.
5. Generate weekly and monthly progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
6. Analyze schedule impacts and perform delay analysis when required.
7. Prepare recovery programs and extension of time (EOT) claims as necessary.
8. Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and project timelines.
9. Attend project meetings and present project status, risks, and schedules to senior management and clients.
10. Manage planning and scheduling data input and outputs in project control systems.
11. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project planning and control processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
2. Certification in Primavera (P6) or Project Management is preferred.

Experience:

1. Minimum 10 years of planning experience in the construction sector.
2. A proven track record in high-rise buildings and G+2 villa projects is mandatory.
3. Solid knowledge of project management principles, techniques, and tools.
4. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
5. Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
6. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
10. Capable of working independently and in a team environment.

Other Requirements:

1. Must be currently based in the UAE.
2. Must be able to join immediately.
3. UAE Driving License is preferred.
4. Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
