Planning Engineer

Job Description

1. Prepare realistic project schedule using appropriate tools such as Primavera and MS Project.
2. Prepare competitive bids for new projects.
3. Calculate optimal material requirement and manpower requirement for each stage of the project.
4. Coordinate with the project manager and different departments to ensure good execution of the plan.
5. Plan for the budget required for the project and monitor expenses as the project is executed.
6. Create cash flow forecasts for each project.

Work Locations

UAE – Abu Dhabi

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with the client to ensure efficient execution of the project.
2. Collect periodic updates and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly updates of the project.
3. Create variance reports (Schedule Variance and Cost Variance - usually Earned Value Method (EVM) is used for this) at various stages of the project to analyze deviations.
4. Create Project Closing Reports with continuous improvement.

Skills + Experience

1. Degree in Civil Engineering.
2. 4-6 years working in a consultancy firm.
3. 10+ years of experience as a planning engineer or/and site engineer (2010-2013 graduates).
4. Experience with 3D modelling software.
