Job Description

Responsibilities and Authorities:

1. Coordinating the planning & scheduling needs of the project with the respective Project Managers in a matrix form of organization.
2. Finalization of project baseline schedule with coordination of internal management and Project Consultants.
3. Assisting the contract dept. and project manager in the preparation of time/cost claims.
4. Involvement in the preparation of project schedules and histogram proposals for tender bids.
5. Attending the internal and external meetings relevant to planning and scheduling issues.
6. Preparation of executive project progress reports to management.
7. Oversee the preparation of costing and budgeting for projects.
8. Demonstration of entitlement to EOT (Extension of Time) as a result of delays/disruption.
9. Preparation in anticipation for the statement to Contract claims advice regarding retrospective analysis for EOT, Prolongation Costs, Work disruption, Program Critiques and Delay Analysis.
10. Follow up the projects progress and highlight to the management the reasons for the delay and the required mitigation plan.
11. Provide leadership and guidance to the planning team, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
12. Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
13. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. B. Sc. / B.E. Civil Engineering, with minimum 8 - 12 years of work experience as Planning & Scheduling in a building construction company.
2. Experience in high-rise projects, villas, and towers.
3. Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Planning Engineer in a reputable construction company in the UAE.
4. Knowledge of FIDIC is an added advantage.
5. Must have a good history of delivering Delay Analysis exercises, Dashboards and Management Presentations.
