Job summary
MSSION:
Responsible for developing and reviewing piping layouts, ensuring maintainability and handling requirements are met, and coordinating with other disciplines to resolve design issues.
TASKS:
- Develop and optimize piping layouts, ensuring maintainability and handling requirements are met.
- Ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Conduct 3D model reviews and address comments and feedback from inter-discipline teams.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design conflicts and ensure integrated project delivery.
- Ensure all designs adhere to the Client’ standards and specifications.
- Conduct quality checks and reviews of designs and models to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Address and resolve any design issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design calculations, material take-offs (MTOs), and technical reports.
- Generate weight control reports for piping components and bulk materials.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in piping & layout engineering within the Oil & Gas sector, specifically in EPC offshore fixed facilities.
- Proven experience with 3D model reviews and resolution of comments.
- Proven experience with Saudi Aramco, ADNOC or Qatargas standards.
- Fluent level of English, written and spoken.
