PIPELINE DESIGNER

We are looking for an experienced Pipeline Designer to support the detailed engineering phase of a major onshore oil and gas project. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in pipeline design, drafting, and modeling, ensuring alignment with industry standards and project requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepare detailed pipeline design deliverables, including alignment sheets, route drawings, isometrics, and construction drawings.
2. Develop and update 3D models for pipeline systems using software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or SmartPlant 3D.
3. Ensure pipeline routing and layouts are optimized for safety, efficiency, and constructability.
4. Incorporate relevant pipeline codes, standards (e.g., ASME, API), and client specifications into designs.
5. Assist in conducting pipeline stress analysis, material selection, and wall thickness calculations.
6. Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated and clash-free designs.
7. Review vendor drawings and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
8. Provide technical support during project phases, including procurement, fabrication, and construction.
9. Maintain and organize design documentation for traceability and project audits.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
2. 5-10 years of experience as a Pipeline Designer for large-scale onshore oil and gas projects.
3. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, SmartPlant 3D, or equivalent.
4. Strong knowledge of pipeline design standards (e.g., ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API 1104).
5. Familiarity with pipeline routing, alignment sheets, and topographical integration.
6. Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams on complex engineering projects.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.
