The purpose of the job is to manage O&P logistics operations of imports and exports from and to the AFMEI region from all sources. This includes coordinating with Sources logistics teams to ensure on-time shipments of orders as well as right & accurate shipping documentation.
The role is responsible for managing LYB inventories at hubs or warehouses within the region of responsibility to ensure a smooth replenishment process as well as minimal detention and compliance with LYB requirements.
The role acts as a logistics interface with the Saudi JVs to ensure all exports out of Saudi JVs to all LYB regions meet service level and cost requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all imports into warehouses/hubs within the area of responsibility to ensure timely ordering and shipments.
- Ensure Materials Management and Scheduling/Planning for all assigned warehouses/hubs of responsibility with complete stock monitoring and adequate replenishment process in coordination with planning & S&OP team.
- Develop and propose new business models to serve customers in the area of responsibility more efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate with Global procurement & Supply sources to ensure proper freight management for AfMEI import.
- Maintain & control all master data for related warehouses/hubs in coordination with the material master team.
- Develop, maintain & control the logistics service provider’s performance for related warehouses/hubs to ensure optimized performance.
- Act as a logistics interface for all Saudi JVs Exports to all LYB regions to ensure better service levels & cost.
- Develop, maintain, and update required interval reports to management to monitor performance and raise the flag for any logistics problems.
- Maintain and update all work instructions for the area of responsibility in coordination with the Business Process team.
- Follow the company policy about Product risk management as well as directives and procedures from Lyondellbasell Product Stewardship Manager AP & AFMEI.
- Follow up on claims in guidance with the policy for product risk management.
Min. Qualifications
Education:
University degree in logistics, business or technical area.
IT capabilities: (e-mail, SAP, BW, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Work Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain & managerial functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Order to Cash process – Understands the process in general and in particular the differences between the business units from forecast, order entry, planning, allocation, shipping up to billing. Has a good network with all involved stakeholders and good knowledge of SAP.
- Logistics Management – Good knowledge of Logistics Management, warehouse management & Inventory management.
- Problem Solving – Ability to analyze problems and detect root causes. Implements and monitors tools and measures to resolve the problems.
- Change Management – Adapts and facilitates changes, becomes comfortable in new circumstances and discusses and supports the need for changes in a constructive way. Leads smaller projects.
