Job Responsibilities
- Review and interpret prescription orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness for patient needs.
- Provide expert medication counseling to patients, addressing potential side effects and interactions tailored to individual health profiles.
- Conduct thorough medication reviews, identifying and resolving drug therapy problems to optimize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive medication management plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers on proper medication administration techniques, enhancing adherence and efficacy.
- Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapy as necessary based on clinical assessments and lab results.
- Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements, ensuring the pharmacy's practices are aligned with the latest standards in patient care.
- Manage inventory effectively, ensuring the availability of essential medications while minimizing waste.
- Engage in community health initiatives, promoting wellness and preventive care through education and outreach programs.
- Oversee pharmacy support staff, providing training and leadership to enhance team performance and service quality.
- Expected to cover weekends when needed.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution, demonstrating a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences.
- Active pharmacist license in the relevant state or country, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital or retail setting, showcasing real-world application of pharmaceutical knowledge.
- Fluency in English, with additional language proficiency in Arabic preferred for diverse patient interaction.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and healthcare teams.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in medication dispensing and patient counseling.
- Empathetic nature and strong interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport with patients in diverse communities.
