Petroleum Engineer
Job description
Responsibilities
- Conduct reservoir engineering studies to determine the economic feasibility of oil and gas reserves.
- Develop and implement reservoir management strategies to maximize production rates and optimize recovery.
- Design well completions and production facilities, including the selection of artificial lift methods and production equipment.
- Analyze well performance data and implement production enhancement techniques.
- Collaborate with drilling engineers to develop well plans and evaluate drilling and completion operations.
- Perform reservoir simulations to predict reservoir performance and optimize field development plans.
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards and guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Petroleum Engineer in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of reservoir engineering principles, including well testing, decline curve analysis, and fluid flow behavior.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software, such as Eclipse or Petrel.
- Familiarity with completion and production engineering techniques and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of drilling and completion operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel to field locations as required.
