Pest Control Technician

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest infestations and determine the best course of action.
2. Use a variety of control methods, including pesticides, traps, and exclusion techniques, to eliminate pests and prevent future infestations.
3. Provide excellent customer service by explaining treatment plans, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
4. Document all services provided and maintain accurate records of pest activity and treatment history.
5. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, safety protocols, and new pest control techniques.
6. Collaborate with team members to develop effective pest control strategies and share knowledge and expertise.
7. Adhere to all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment as required.
8. Maintain and service equipment and vehicles to ensure proper functioning.
9. Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
10. Promote a positive company image and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with additional education or certifications in pest control preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pest control industry, with a strong knowledge of common pests, treatment methods, and safety protocols.
3. Valid pest control license or certification, as required by state or local regulations.
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively identify and diagnose pest infestations.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to customers in a clear and concise manner.
6. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet service deadlines.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to different situations and environments.
8. Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy equipment or working in confined spaces.
