Overview of the role
As the Performance and Talent Management Lead, you will oversee the Automotive division execution of performance management frameworks, enhance managerial capabilities in delivering effective, unbiased performance reviews, and collaborate closely with the Learning & Development department to develop comprehensive talent development programs. Your role is pivotal in coordinating the annual performance cycle, fostering a culture of continuous performance feedback, and ensuring alignment with group strategies while emphasizing talent development and organizational effectiveness.
What you will do
- Coordinate and drive the annual performance cycle, integrating tools such as SAP SuccessFactors and utilizing balanced scorecards for comprehensive performance assessment.
- Implement group-level performance management frameworks within the division, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop performance management frameworks tailored for agile, project-based activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and agile methodologies.
- Partner with the Learning & Development department to design and deliver robust programs across all aspects of talent management, including performance evaluation, feedback delivery, and leadership development.
- Enhance managerial capabilities in delivering fair and constructive performance reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and feedback.
- Identify and cultivate talent through effective succession planning initiatives aligned with divisional and group strategies.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to formulate career development plans and pathways for high-potential employees, preparing them for critical roles within the organization.
- Develop career pathing frameworks and succession plans for key job families across the organization.
- Lead and coordinate the talent management review cycle, ensuring thorough assessments of talent performance, potential, and development needs.
- Implement strategies to align talent management efforts with organizational objectives, leveraging insights from performance analytics and feedback mechanisms.
- Integrate performance management practices that enhance employee engagement and support retention efforts within the division.
- Develop strategies to recognize and reward top performers while proactively addressing performance-related challenges.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and trends in performance and talent management, continuously refining divisional strategies to optimize organizational performance.
- Collaborate closely with group Performance, Talent Management and HR Business Partners within the Automotive business unit to align on their actions and ensure cohesive performance and talent strategies.
- Act as a liaison between central HR functions and Automotive business units, ensuring alignment of performance & talent initiatives with strategic business objectives.
- Confidently engage and manage relationships with senior business stakeholders, providing strategic insights and recommendations on performance and talent management matters.
- Monitor poor performance management executed through HR Business Partners, ensuring timely and effective implementation of Performance Improvement Plans.
- Ensure compliance with performance management policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across the organization.
- Establish and analyse performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of performance management initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and insights to divisional and group leadership, utilizing data-driven approaches to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

What equips you for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Over 8 years of proven experience in performance and talent management, including managing the annual performance cycle and utilizing tools such as SAP SuccessFactors and balanced scorecards in dynamic organizational environments.
- Certification in HR (e.g., CIPD, SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is advantageous.
- Extensive experience in business partnering roles within HR or Talent Management and development, succession planning, and fostering a high-performance culture.
