Position Purpose
At Sephora we empower people and provide them best in class HR policies to foster their professional growth. As People Operations Manager, you drive operational excellence across HR processes, systems, and policies, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic objectives and provide a positive experience for employees.
Key Accountabilities
People Operations Manager
Responsibilities
As People Operations Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the People function. Your role involves overseeing HR systems, processes and policies ensuring compliance and delivering an excellent employee experience. Your role includes, and is not limited to:
People Operations and Administration
- Oversee the daily operations of the People department,
- Manage employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality,
- Define and oversee onboarding and offboarding processes from an administrative perspective,
- Manage contracts, offer letters, and employment documentation,
- Ensure smooth transitions during employee status changes (e.g., promotions, transfers),
HR Systems
- Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of HR systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll systems),
- Ensure the accuracy of data within HR systems,
- Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement
HR Policies & Processes
- Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures, realize internal audits,
- Manage employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality,
Payroll and Benefits
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness,
- Manage employee benefits programs, including policy enhancements, enrollments, and inquiries (schooling, health & life insurances, etc.),
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Monitor changes in labor legislation and implement necessary update,
- Address and resolve compliance issues as they arise,
Team Leadership and Development
- Manage and develop the People Operations team,
- Provide guidance and training to ensure team effectiveness and alignment with People Function strategies,
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Act as a liaison between HR provider and other departments, ensuring alignment and collaboration,
- Partner with HR leadership to support strategic initiatives,
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR operational matters,
Skills, Experiences & Personality
- You have a master’s degree in human resources, Business, or equivalent working experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR in an international organization
- High sense of confidentiality and be able to be discreet when dealing with confidential information
- Ability to manage data
- Experience with delivering HR process improvement actions
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
- Ability to work closely and successfully with others in order to deliver results
- Ability to handle multiple assignment/projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Self-motivated, proactive going beyond the call of duty, result oriented.
