Promote reflection and thoughtful action to develop and implement NGS’s strategic plan
Prepare for and lead regular planning meetings with the members of the PE
Meet with the department to discuss agendas, issues, curriculum, teacher initiatives and ideas, and other matters relating to curriculum.
Ensure all teachers are working towards a shared vision that embraces inquiry and innovation, develops curriculum, and promotes the development of interdisciplinary units of study where appropriate
Ensure that there is internal standardization of assessment
Prepare samples for monitoring and moderation as needed
Sharing of best practices and encouraging a climate of professional sharing
Implementing and embedding innovative ideas in their practice and teams, including using technology to support learning
Collaborates with management to analyze student data and plan improvement strategies that result in progression and produce high-quality learning experiences for all students
Lead the team to plan and provide powerful and engaging instruction to students with diverse needs and interests
Develop a data-informed/data-driven culture among the team to assess student progress
Use individual, classroom, grade, and student data to plan, lead, and/or recommend content-related professional development for teachers on their team
Support the development of an inclusive environment for all students and staff by addressing the needs of all.

Education: Bachelor of Physical Education or equivalent Preferred Education: Middle Leader training – NPQML/SL or equivalent Experience: At least 5 years experience as a teacher and a minimum of 2 years working in an international school Preferred Experience: Prior experience as a middle leader
