Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to manage and oversee all aspects of payroll processing. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, compliance with labor laws, and maintain payroll records efficiently. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of payroll systems, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll transactions accurately and on time, including salaries, bonuses, deductions, and overtime payments.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in salaries, benefits, and tax withholdings.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, such as tax filings, pension contributions, and statutory deductions.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Assist with audits and internal reviews related to payroll.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Administrator, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SAP, ADP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong numerical aptitude and data entry skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Good communication skills to liaise with employees and management.
